Avocado Freezer Fudge

I received several requests to share this recipe a couple weeks ago, and decided it was too good not to share. Not only is this is a wonderful decadent treat, but it also leaves you satisfied and feeling good!
Paleo/AIP friendly and gluten/dairy free too!

Avocado makes this so indulgent and creamy. This is one of my 'superfood' treats, and I'll expand a little more on these key ingredients.

Maca has more than a few benefits, it is proven to help elevate mood and decrease mood swings, balance hormone levels, and increase libido. It's low in fat, and high in essential vitamins and minerals, such as iron and vitamin C. Maca has more of an earthy flavor .. think sweet potato-ish. If you aren't fond of it, you could easily omit, and add an extra scoop of collagen peptides.

Cacao Powder is the purest form of chocolate there is, it's raw and much less processed than the conventional cocoa powder you have in your kitchen. It's considered a super food, because it has 40 times the amount of antioxidants that blueberries have. It's the highest plant based source of iron, and is also a natural mood elevator and antidepressant.

Lastly, let's talk about collagen peptides for a minute. It is a powdered formula that easily blends into practically anything, without affecting the taste. The list of benefits is long, and this is something you definitely need in your life. It helps repair joints/ligaments, while reducing joint pain, promotes skin elasticity for youthful vibrant skin, strong hair and nails, helps burn unwanted fat, helps build muscle, it can also help reduce the appearance of cellulite, and is essential for gut health. I always make it a priority to get it into my diet somewhere on the daily.

Anyways, this is an amazingly delicious treat to end the day (or anytime, really) on a high note, super quick and easy to make.. Also, might suggest the bitterness of the raw cacao powder would pair deliciously well with a nice glass of red ;)

Anyways, I hope I was able to share a few things about these superfood ingredients, that maybe you didn't know. As always, I appreciate feedback/suggestions, or if you have another interesting fact to share. Post in the comments below!

Here's what you need:

1 whole avocado (mashed)

3 Tbs gelatinized maca powder

dash of cinnamon

1/3 cup almond butter

1/2 cup cacao powder

1/4 tsp coconut/vanilla/ or almond extract

1 scoop collagen peptides

1/4 cup pure organic maple syrup

Can add some dark chocolate morsels or cacao nibs (depending on dietary restrictions) nuts, or dried fruits would be delicious as well!

Add all ingredients in a bowl (savings the morsels or nibs for last!)
Once all ingredients are combined and smooth, stir in your chips.
form into a ball and place on plastic wrap or aluminum foil, place another layer on top of your ball and press until thin. Wrap completely in the wrapping of your choosing, freeze at least 3 hours before enjoying. Once frozen, slice and move to an airtight container. Keeps for several weeks.

Thanks for visiting!!
